A New Year’s party at a Swiss Alpine bar turned into a tragedy after about 40 people died in a fire and another roughly 115 were injured, many in their teens to mid-20s. Authorities say the inferno broke out less than two hours after midnight Thursday. The death toll made the disaster at the Le Constellation bar in the Crans-Montana ski resort as one of Switzerland's worst tragedies. The resort is best known as an international ski and golf venue. Officials say the fire's cause remains under investigation but have ruled out the possibility of an attack.
