Spencer Pratt, a reality television personality who lost his home in the deadly Palisades wildfire last year, said Wednesday that he intends to run for mayor of Los Angeles. Pratt is a Republican who rose to reality-TV fame alongside his wife, Heidi Montag, on “The Hills.” He announced his plans at a rally critical of the government's handling of the Jan. 7, 2025, wildfire that killed 12 people and destroyed thousands of homes. Pratt sued the city over the loss of his home and has been an outspoken critic of how Mayor Karen Bass and Gov. Gavin Newsom handled the fire.
