Police say three French tourists have drowned in Oman after their boat capsized near Muscat. The Royal Oman Police said on Tuesday that the boat carried 25 French tourists, a tour guide, and a captain when it overturned in the Gulf of Oman. Three tourists died, and two suffered minor injuries. Police say that investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances of the incident. Oman, located on the eastern edge of the Arabian Peninsula, attracts tourists for its diving and natural beauty, though it remains overshadowed by Dubai in the neighboring United Arab Emirates.
