Work requirements are kicking in for many older adults and parents of teenagers to continue receiving benefits from the biggest U.S. food aid program. It's all part of changes to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program under a broader tax and policy law President Donald Trump signed last year. Groups now subject to work requirements include those ages 55 to 64, parents with children ages 14 to 17, homeless individuals, veterans and young adults aging out of foster care. People in some states could lose benefits as soon as next week, but the changes are taking effect at different times in various states.
