A heated U.S. Senate race in Texas is entering its final stretch before voters decide Tuesday who will be their party's nominee in November. Candidates locked in tough races on both sides of the aisle were making last-ditch pleas to voters on Sunday. Incumbent Republican U.S. Sen. John Cornyn is trying to hold on to the seat he has held since he was first elected in 2002. He is facing an unusually tough reelection challenge from Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton and U.S. Rep. Wesley Hunt. On the Democratic side, U.S. Rep. Jasmine Crockett and state Rep. James Talarico are locked in a spirited race.
