London police say they have arrested three men suspected of spying for China in violation of the U.K.’s National Security Act. One of the three men is the husband of a lawmaker from the governing Labour Party. Police say they arrested a 39-year-old in London and two others in Wales, aged 68 and 43, on Wednesday. Police did not name them because they have not been charged. The case follows several other investigations into alleged Chinese spying and political interference. The British domestic intelligence service warned lawmakers in November that Chinese agents were trying to recruit them through LinkedIn and front companies. Beijing rejects the claims. Police say the arrests pose no immediate public threat.
