President Donald Trump says he's ordering all federal agencies to phase out use of Anthropic technology after the company’s unusually public dispute with the Pentagon over artificial intelligence safety. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth also said he was designating Anthropic as a supply chain risk, a move that could prevent U.S. military vendors from working with the company. In a story published February 19, 2026, about an arrest of actor Shia LaBeouf, The Associated Press erroneously reported that LaBeouf had been arrested in New York in 2017 for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct. That arrest was actually on suspicion of assault.

An employee tried to remove LaBeouf and once outside, the actor allegedly hit a man “multiple times with closed fists,” police said.

Actor Shia LaBeouf has converted to Catholicism. He was confirmed on New Year’s Eve at a Mass presided over by Capuchin Franciscan friars. Attorney General Pam Bondi says federal prosecutors have indicted 30 more people tied to a protest at a Minnesota church over an immigration enforcement crackdown. Singer FKA twigs has filed a lawsuit alleging that Shia LaBeouf was physically and emotionally abusive during their relationship from 2018 to 2019. The lawsuit filed Friday in Los Angeles Superior Court says the 34-year-old actor left FKA twigs in a constant state of fear with verbal abuse that led to physical abuse.
