Ozzy Osbourne's Rarely-Seen Daughter Aimee Surprises Fans With a Publicly Candid Tribute
Ever since Ozzy Osbourne passed away, many have wondered how his family, specifically his children, have been doing. While we’ve seen bits and pieces of them with subtle tributes, it seems multiple of his kids are coming together for the upcoming documentary, Ozzy: No Escape From Now; including his rarely-seen daughter Aimée.
While Aimee has always been out of the spotlight, having not participated in the hit MTV series, The Osbournes, her appearance on this podcast is both shocking and a welcome surprise. You can see the trailer below:
Many fans commented on the trailer, saying things like: “The nice surprise is Aimee being in this too and being candid,” and “Cool to see/hear from Aimee.”
As we said, Aimee wasn’t a part of the series, and even moved out at a young age because of it. “I know that my eldest girl, Aimee, left home at 16 and she couldn’t live in our house because we were filming and it drove her insane,” Sharon Osbourne said in June 2018 on The Talk, via People. “She felt too that she didn’t want to grow up on camera. She hated the idea — it was appalling to her.”
Sadly, Aimee and her siblings aren’t quite close, especially since she’s chosen avoid the public eye. “For me, I had grown up around having a pretty well-known dad anyway, and… I always really valued my privacy within that family,” Aimée told New York’s Q1043 in 2020.
While she is more private, she is the lead vocalist in the synth pop band ARO, and as you just saw, is honoring her late father publicly.
For those who don’t know, Ozzy and his first wife, Thelma Riley, had three children. He adopted her son Elliot, born in 1966, and welcomed two children together, named Jessica, born in 1972, and Louis, born in 1975.
Then, Ozzy married his manager, Sharon, on July 4, 1982, and welcomed three children together: Aimee, born in Sept 1983, Kelly, born in Oct 1984, and Jack, born in Nov 1985.
Ozzy: No Escape From Now will be released on Oct 7.
