Why Nicole Kidman Is Reportedly Putting Her Feelings Aside Ahead of an ‘Emotional Reunion’ With Keith Urban
Nicole Kidman isn’t thinking of herself this holiday season; she reportedly wants to make sure that her daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14, feel supported during her split with their dad, Keith Urban.
While the teens spend most of their time with their mom because Urban is out on the road, Kidman is coordinating an “emotional reunion” for all four of them over the holiday season, per RadarOnline.
“Nicole has got very mixed emotions about spending time under the same roof as Keith again, but she’s determined to do it for the sake of her girls,” a source explained to the media outlet. “The girls have hardly seen Keith in the last six months as he’s been touring and they’ve been overseas with Nicole.”
Sunday and Faith “miss him terribly,” so the Oscar winner understands why her girls crave “some normal family time.” The insider added, “So she’s vowed to do whatever it takes to give them that.”
That doesn’t mean the former duo is friendly, though. Kidman and Urban’s communication has been “running strictly through lawyers,” per Rob Shuter’s Naughty But Nice Substack. “It’s not icy — it’s frozen,” a source told Shuter in November. “Nicole isn’t ready for a heart-to-heart, and Keith isn’t pushing it. Right now, silence is the most they can agree on.”
The 58-year-old actress has a tender heart right now because the divorce appears to be fueled by Urban, who allegedly engaged in an affair, per TMZ. Instead of staying stuck in the past, a pal told People that she’s ready for a fresh start in 2026: “She isn’t someone who dwells on regrets — she believes everything happens for a reason.”
Kidman is keeping the family reunion in a safe zone, though, with other family and friends in attendance at the holiday celebration — and it won’t be easy.
“Even with her tribe of people around her, it’s going to take some serious discipline for her to keep her emotions in check,” the RadarOnline source summed up. “It’s all very raw for her still. But she’s saying she can handle it because she’ll do anything for her daughters.”
