Elizabeth Hurley’s Daring NYE Look at Her Themed Party Shows She May Be Trying to One-up This Kardashian Moment
Elizabeth Hurley rang in the new year with full Bond girl energy — right down to a white hot bikini and a toy pistol at her hip.
On Jan. 2, the 60-year-old model and actress shared Instagram photos from a James Bond–themed New Year’s Eve bash, captioned, “Happy New Year ???? Starting 2026 with a bang ???????? #007Party.” In the shots, she wears a white bra-and-briefs bikini, a matching belt holding a silver prop gun, a fluffy white coat and rhinestone hoops while posing with a cardboard cutout of Daniel Craig’s 007, boyfriend Billy Ray Cyrus and her son, Damian Hurley.
The party leaned all the way into the “Bond girl at home” concept. Damian arrived in leather pants, a low-cut black top and a cross necklace, while friends including broadcaster Elizabeth Day posed alongside Hurley’s faux-holster look. In the comments, Drag Race judge Michelle Visage wrote, “ARE YOU KIDDING ME WITH HOW GREAT YOU LOOK?” and Damian called it “the best night.”
If the 007 theme feels familiar, that might be because Kris Jenner threw her own James Bond–inspired bash less than two months earlier. For Jenner’s 70th birthday, Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez hosted an over-the-top “007” party at their reported $165 million Beverly Hills estate, complete with a live Bruno Mars set and a guest list that included Oprah Winfrey, Mariah Carey and Adele. Police were reportedly called more than once after neighbors complained about the late-night noise and about giant decorative hedges blocking the street without a permit, and Prince Harry’s tuxedo-and-Remembrance–poppy look with Meghan Markle quickly folded into ongoing backlash and debate over the couple’s Hollywood era.
That Kardashian-Jenner party also helped spark another Bond conversation: whether Kendall Jenner should be the next Bond girl. Brand and culture expert Nick Ede recently argued that casting her would be a “brilliant” and “very modern move,” noting that she fits the classic-glamour brief while bringing a newer edge.
Hurley’s NYE look doesn’t mean she’s angling for that rumored role, but it does play in the same universe. After all, it’s pretty hard NOT to compare the outfit to Ursula Andress’ original Dr. No beach scene and labeled it a modern Bond girl cosplay. And let’s not forget, Hurley also has her own spy-comedy credentials, of course. She played Vanessa Kensington, a Bond girl–inspired character, in Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery, making the 007 nod feel like a callback as much as a costume.
The night doubled as another public chapter in her relationship with Cyrus, whom she met filming Christmas in Paradise in 2022. The pair reconnected after his 2024 divorce, went Instagram official on Easter 2025 and, according to a source who spoke to People in October, have been together for more than six months and are “going strong.”
