3 Recipes From Ina Garten That Only Take 10 Minutes To Make

Ina Garten is known for making fancy French and Italian meals more simple and approachable, but did you know that some of her meals take just 10 minutes to make? We found a few Garten recipes that get food on the table in no time and are so delicious that your friends and family won’t believe that they only took you 10 minutes to prepare. Maybe you don’t have to tell them — that secret can be between us!

Herbed-Baked Eggs

Ina Garten’s Herbed-Baked Eggs is such an easy breakfast recipe that tastes like it took you all morning to prepare. But the secret is that it takes about a much time as it does to brew a pot of coffee. You first want to preheat your broiler, and while it’s preheating, combine garlic, thyme, rosemary, parsley, and Parmesan cheese in a small bowl. Then, prepare your eggs by cracking them into small teacups or bowls without breaking the yolk.

Prepare a few gratin dishes by placing them on a sheet pan and adding cream and butter to the bottom of each one. Place them under the broiler until the cream and butter are hot and bubbly. Then quickly pour your eggs into the gratin dishes and sprinkle with the herb mixture and season with salt and pepper. Then put them back under the broiler for about five minutes until the whites are nearly done. Remove, allow the eggs to carry-over cook, and then serve with toast. How easy is that?

Lemon Capellini

This may be one of the simplest pasta dishes you ever make, but it also might be the most delicious. Garten’s Lemon Capellini dish starts with bringing a pot of water to a boil and then cooking the capellini until it’s just al dente (about three minutes). Meanwhile, in a medium pan, heat butter until melted and then add the zest and juice of two lemons. Season with salt and pepper. When the pasta is cooked, use tongs to move the pasta into the sauté pan, adding enough pasta water to keep everything moist. After another minute of cooking, you’re ready to serve!

Chicken with Goat Cheese & Basil

This one is a bit of a cheat, but because it only takes 10 minutes to prepare, we thought we’d add Garten’s Goat Cheese & Basil recipe to the list. While your oven is preheating, loosen the skin of your chicken breasts and place slices of goat cheese under the skin, as well as a basil leaf. Pull the skin back over the chicken and rub with olive oil before seasoning with salt and pepper. Your prep is done! Just place the chicken onto a sheet pan and allow it to bake for about 35 minutes. This dish is so delicious.
