Jennifer Lopez & Ben Affleck Can’t Fully Say Goodbye to the Past Amid Latest Trial With Family Home
Despite being married for a rather short time, it seems Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck can’t fully say goodbye to the past just yet. Amid their whirlwind romance, the pair bought a $68 million mansion for their blended family, complete with 12 bedrooms and 24 bathrooms. However, long after their divorce, it seems the pair can’t fully close the book because this house just won’t sell.
Realtor recently reported that the two can’t seem to sell the home, even at a substantial loss. Recently, they had it up for $52 million, despite originally listing it at $68 million. But the recent report shows they took it off the market, yet again.
Months prior to this incident, insiders revealed how the pair were feeling to Us Weekly, saying, “Jennifer thinks they can get more money for the home, so she wants to keep the price as is. But the real estate market is not there and it’s not selling.”
Earlier in 2025, there was a potential buyer, but they removed themselves after a family tragedy.
For those who don’t know, Lopez and Affleck met on the set of the film Gigli. They started dating soon after and got engaged by the end of 2002. However, they were broken up by 2004 after canceling their wedding days prior to it. Then, in 2021, Lopez and Affleck rekindled their romance.
A year later, they got engaged and married in a lavish ceremony. However, they then filed for divorce in 2024, and got officially divorced the following year.
Because of this continuous battle, insiders claim it’s causing some issues with the co-parents.
Rob Shuter said what insiders spilled on #ShuterScoop, saying, “She never wanted the house. He did. Now she’s stuck with it. Jen hated it from day one. It was all Ben’s idea. She thought it was excessive—he thought it was private.”
