Kristen Bell & Dax Shepard’s ‘Immature & Inappropriate’ Behavior Has Left Friends ‘Uncomfortable’
Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard are at the center of divorce rumors, and it’s all because of their rather, erm, inappropriate jokes about one another. And now, insiders claim that the way they act behind closed doors has everyone on edge.
Insiders told Heat World: “Kristen and Dax are one of those couples where, especially when you visit them at their home; they just have no problem letting it all hang out. This makes them more approachable, especially when they’re spending time with their many non-famous friends, but the big downside is that they don’t really hide their bickering and silly, relentless arguments from anybody.”

“It’s on full display, all the time, and it can be uncomfortable. Nobody understands why they seem to get off on the awkwardness of it all, but it can be painful to see them openly fight, and even take half-joking cheap shots at one another,” the insider added about their “insensitive” and “tone-deaf” behavior. “Friends get that they hate pretending and just want to be themselves when they’re at home but it’s still a textbook form of “oversharing”, and it’s not for everybody.”
They added, “No doubt they tell themselves that there’s not a problem they can’t fight their way out of, but some disputes are better handled behind closed doors!”
For those who don’t know, Bell and Shepard started dating in 2007. They married after same-sex marriage was legalized in the United States back in 2013. They have since welcomed two daughters named Lincoln, born in March 2013, and Delta, born in Dec 2014.
Fans also resurfaced past troubling behavior on Reddit, with one asking, “Remember during Covid when Kristen recorded a multi-story post of a fight they were having?” Along with that, Refinery29 pointed out an odd exchange where Bell was taking their dirty laundry on Instagram about a parked motorcycle.
Before these insiders, another insider told Star Magazine in Jan 2025 that Bell and Shepard’s “relentless” bickering is turning off a lot of Hollywood pals.
“Especially when you visit them at their home, they have no problem letting it all hang out. Sure, this humanizes them, but they argue all the time,” they said. “It’s a form of oversharing, and it’s not for everybody!”
