They're all hollow body guitars, which do carry a penalty of being noisier. I agree though, it is annoyingly random. Interestingly enough, I use Kemper and some profiles my Strat and Tele are as noisy as chuff with any real gain on them, others they are fine ergo, amp architecture does play a large part in it as well. .
