To add a bit of balance, Wigan were amongst the favourites for promotion if I remember correctly and he took them to the relegation zone before he was sacked.
Then with Leeds, he won 1 or 2 games in about 2/3 months.
Not that I dislike him. He's far from the finished article but he seems to do well on a shoe-string and his coaching methods are highly talked of by anybody that seems to come into contact with him.

Fair points but the issue with Moyes is he's become something of a dinosaur in recent years, as evidenced by his disastrous tenure at Sunderland. His confidence has been shattered by both that and the United experience, so it's not something he can easily instil to a squad so desperately in need of a morale boost.
