Chesham Utd v Merthyr Town (4 replies)

Kief and Gallagher were immense today and Grounds wasn't far behind.
Thought he stood out on the pitch yesterday for the majority of the match. Strong in the tackle, full of running and gave it his all for the 90 minutes.
Shame we had to revert back to the 2 holding midfielders in the second half after Gleeson went off. Thought Gleeson in front of the back four allowing Davis and Kieftenbeld a more freer role going forward, looked the way to go in the future and it proved old Worzel did actually have a Plan B. (Even if it was Rowetts old style of playing at the back and in the middle). Читать дальше...

Said Cotterill a few weeks ago when replying to a question about why he plays Gallagher out wide and not up front...
Well he sure won his fair share today. Had a good game, cannot fault his work rate but he needs to be up top with another forward (Adams) around him.
4 tough games ahead. Can we halt the Jekyll and Hyde & get away from the league one drop for a bit please? B) in the key & chord
of G flat major suspended 7th?
Brilliant result yesterday but caution with the brass and the woodwind... We are brummies yes we are...

Our away form/ performances are very worrying and it’s not like it’s just this season it goes way back to last season they started : under Rowett we was good on the road most games but I really do t no how it’s going to change . Maybe go solid for a change go 4-5-1 solid set up and try scrape a few 1-0s

Totally agree mate, wasted out there.

21k there today. Not bad considering our wretched run. Glad the players gave our faithful something to be smile about.
Attendances home and especially away this season have generally been pretty good.

It's a weird one - the attendance was good (Forest brought a lot, albeit a quiet lot, which helped), but man there was a tension and a willingness to boo, at least where I was standing. I guess that's understandable all things considered. I still compare it to the Huddersfield game at the end of last season, when it seemed like things were moving with the crowd on side in a way it hadn't for a few years. It was quiet tonight tbh. Great win though, let's hope the fans get behind the team and sing... Читать дальше...

Shape was good overall but that number 10 cutting in from the left was a huge problem for us. Dean and Roberts looked okay but again had the ball put through them a couple of times. Last ditch defending a variable quality from Forest meant we could hold on but still a complete inability to hold the ball anywhere in the middle of the park. Gallagher was serviceable on the left but I can still not decide what he's good at not particularly quick not particularly strong not particularly adept with his feet.

2nd half and totally got away with it
Top partnership in the making & Morrison should be replaced in January.
