Yes you make your own luck etc, but today everything seemed to go Derby's way and nothing ours. When we hit the post it bounces out not in, the first goal deflects etc, when we had scrambles in the box ball would just not sit up for us. I always used to think he who cannot be named was a lucky manager when at our place, seems to have carried on.

I don't mean just anybody who gets paid for playing football but a real player? Sat here watching Mason Holgate for Everton, signed from Barnsley a year ago, he looks as if he has the prospects to be a class act. I appreciate they're a Prem club and all that comes with that but but still, how come we always seem to be in the queue for mid/late twenties, huffers and puffers who don't really have any improvement in them?

Easily the second best side to visit St. Andrews this season.

They didn't play the prettiest football but as a complete team they were excellent.

- Organised
- Crisp and precise on the ball
- Niggly, dirty and downright vile off it
- Tactically they all knew what they had to do at all times.
- Took their chances well.

Agree with that.

We are not very good, Cotterill is very defensive but some are being too negative. Derby are far better than us, buying up decent champs players for the last 4 years. They now look solid, strong, four huge defenders, pace and creativity up front. They are a good team for this division. But our task is to compete against he duffers and the other teams not Wolves or Derby.
