I’ve had a little read about it. Apparently the bloke, a freelancer, had been warned about his language before which some people had complained about. I’m not sure, but I doubt Radio Lincolnshire listeners to football are the epitome of the supposed woke culture in our society.
Anyway, in this game he made some comments about players being drama queens who should be wearing skirts, and something about the ref’s wife as well as this nothing thing about handbags. On that basis, as a freelancer, the BBC have said to the bloke you can come back when you drop the casual sexism and slightly dinosaur references.
Big feckin deal, not.
And certain people love to justify the sanitisation of expression in society that archaic and pretentious media outlets like the BBC (the Guardian is another one that springs to mind) are largely responsible for.
