Non-driver here so apologies for my ignorance but have car manufacturers not come up with a quick way of de-icing a car yet without running the engine? I presume drivers do this to get the heating working on the windscreen? I think my life expectancy reduced by a couple of years walking my daughter to school this morning and breathing in the fumes
