Re: Roberts
Most teams who play with wingbacks push them both forward at the same time to create natural width and therefore create space. What we tend to do is just push Longelo forward, Colin stays back and the other three drift across to form a back 4. Teams have worked this out now so they just double up on Longelo and the the ball invariably ends up coming backwards for someone to hoof forward. JE changed the system in the second half to a 4-diamond-2 but we still lacked attacking width to get any quality crosses in for Juke and Deeney. We desperately needed George Hall last night as a sub to provide some pace and width. I don’t know what the situation with Placheta is but if he stays and ever gets fit we might well need him as an attacking option.
