Re: New Development Near the Ground
RibeyeEven though the nec isn't much further from me than blues is now id be gutted if we moved there.
We should stay and redevelop. We don't need a massive ground. We're not as big as we think we are, the absolute max we need is 40k and that's pushing it.
Can you imagine the state of small heath if we were to move? It would be a million times more of a dump than it is now.
All I ask for in a new owner think long term and see the stadium and surrounding area as a premium location with all the future developments in digbeth and the metro line going past the ground it will be such a much better place and area to go to in years to come.
I hope they Look at rebuilding the ground and building a new training ground and academy in 3 phases keeping the kop and Tilton as they are fine to keep once the lower tiers are sorted.
Phase 1 - New Main Stand and Holmsdale Flats redevelopment - say 11,500.
Phase 2 - New Railway End. 10,500.
Post redeveloping capacity of around 40,000 to 43,000. A capacity where we need to be imo. We need stronger and higher foundations and ceilings.
Phase 3 - Look at seeing if they can build a new training ground on wheels park/adderly park.
