shdTarquinAny good folk of SHA recommend somewhere for my dog to be looked after?

Personally, I’d never leave my dog with any boarding kennel, she goes everywhere with us
We always tried to but it wasn’t always possible. We put our two in kennels when we went to a village nr Huntingdon a few years ago for my sister’s wedding. We were staying in a hotel and the venue didn’t allow dogs - there was nowhere we could have left them. I won’t go into detail but it was an awful experience (we’d used our dog trainer because the dogs knew him and he also had kennels at his property). It was after this that we researched and found a house sitter who we used a few times - he was brilliant. When I was made redundant, he mentioned that they (he and his wife) were looking to take in another dog walker so I took the job which eventually led to me doing house sits. My clients (dogs and owners) loved having me looking after their animals and tried to get me to do them when I’d left the company I’d worked for but I was reluctant to because I wouldn’t be covered by insurance (plus I’d decided to retire anyway).
