Woman's body pulled from Chicago River in Pilsen
An investigation is underway after a woman's body was found in the South Branch of the Chicago River Monday morning in Pilsen.
It happened about 8:30 a.m. in the 2200 block of South Halsted Street, according to police, who earlier reported the remains were male.
An autopsy was planned, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.
It wasn't clear who spotted the unidentified remains and Area 3 detectives are conducting a death investigation.
