Big Sean Shut Down Those Girlfriend Rumors
On Thursday, a clip that showed Big Sean with another woman started to make its rounds on Instagram amid rampant rumors that he and his longtime partner, Jhené Aiko, had split up. The video appears to have come from an Instagram account called No Skips Tea, which posted it with the caption “Damn! Big Sean Spotted With Alleged New Girlfriend After Wasting Jhene Aiko’s Time for 10 Years.” According to People, No Skips Tea pulled it from the end of a “Music Boot Camp” livestream hosted by 21-year-old YouTuber N3on.
In the clip, Big Sean can be seen with a group of people and a woman standing close behind him, whom the account interpreted as his new love interest. Big Sean, however, quickly set the record straight in the comments section. “Yeah unfortunately I never met this person in my life lol,” he wrote on the post. In a second comment, he added that the unidentified woman was standing next to one of his friends, producer Hit-Boy, who was not in the video. “I dont know why the fuck she was so close to me though. I didn’t see it at all ’til I saw this video and can understand the frustrations,” he continued. “Smh ????. But I don’t even know this person at all.”
While Sean denied being involved with a random woman standing next to him, he still did not address the breakup rumors. He and Aiko have been in an on-and-off relationship since 2016, the year they released a collaboration album titled Twenty88. They briefly split in 2019 and reunited around 2020 before welcoming a son, Noah, together in 2022.
