Tottenham Hotspur struggled at right-back under Mauricio Pochettino towards the start of the season, with the Argentine rotating through five different choices in under 20 matches.
Serge Aurier, Kyle Walker-Peters, Moussa Sissoko, Davinson Sanchez, and Juan Foyth all started matches at right-back, with none of the five impressing consistently.
This all came after Spurs chose to sell their first-choice right-back, Kieran Trippier, to Atletico Madrid back in the summer.
However, since Jose Mourinho has come into the North London club and switched things up, Serge Aurier has been impressing at full-back, due to reduced defensive duties.
Despite this, Spurs have still been linked to 22-year-old Lille right-back Zeki Celik, who previously impressed for Istanbulspor in the Turkey second division (DHA).
Just days after being linked to Spurs, Celik himself has now claimed that he has big dreams to play in the Premier League and is already learning English for such an occasion.
On playing in the English top division, Celik said (TRT Spor): “My biggest aim is to play in this great competition. I am learning English. I have ambitions and targets. I hope I will reach them.”
