Some Spurs fans were left relieved to watching their side pick up their first victory in five Premier League games with a 2-1 win over Norwich City this evening.
Jose Mourinho named an attacking lineup and kept faith with most of those who started in the 0-0 draw against Watford last weekend.
Spurs dominated the midfield battle and fashioned several chances in the first half before Dele Alli got the breakthrough towards the end of the first half.
The away side put up more of a fight in the second period and deservedly levelled the game through a Teemu Pukki penalty after Max Aarons was foolishly fouled by Ryan Sessegnon in the box.
The home side went ahead once again somewhat against the run of play when Heung-min Son found himself in the right place to head home after Dele Alli’s effort looped into the air.
While the performance was still a considerable way off the level we have expected from our side over the past few years, the three points could prove crucial in our hope for a top four finish.
Giovani Lo Celso is already Mr Tottenham.
Surge Aurier much improved.
Dele and Son stepping up at the right moments.
An unlikely top four finish is still possible. #THFC #COYS #TOTNOR

I can’t speak for anyone else but I hate these performances. Three points are all that matters and all the rest of it, but it’s such a change from what we’ve seen in recent years. Desperately need to shake things up in the summer. Big time. #THFC

Lo Celso and Aurier are the only 2 I’d consider for MOTM today

A hard fought win but they all count. I thought Aurier was excellent today. On we go.

RELIEF! People might judge and say about relegation form but our form is a worry and we have no recognised striker. We had to win tonight, 6 more points needed #COYS

Giovanni Lo Celso.
That's it, that's the tweet. pic.twitter.com/QxVlkUbJDA

Lo Celso, Son, Aurier and Dele all brilliant for the goal.
Beyond that, it’s been *fairly* turgid. Hopefully the goal will bring Norwich out of their traps after HT.

We are lucky to scrape past bottom team Norwich at home. Hope this isn't our final win of the season ????????

Big 3 points but cmon sort it out lads you’re not convincing anyone

Spurs Web Opinion
It was crucial that we bounced back after conceding the equalizer. It will give the players a lot of confidence going forward knowing that we can come back from a set back. It is clear that we have improved considerably from a defensive point of view over the last few games. Hopefully, we build on this result and put a good run together.
