Former Tottenham Hotspur chairman, Alan Sugar has urged Mauricio Pochettino to come back to the club after the Lilywhites turned in another uninspiring performance against Bournemouth last night.
Unfortunately for Spurs fans, the team has struggled to consistently create chances since the restart under Jose Mourinho.
While there are clear improvements in the defensive shape and the compactness without the ball, the lack of creativity growing forward has been clear for all to see.
The performance against Eddie Howe’s side was arguably a new low for Spurs as they failed to register a single shot on target.
On the back of a dull display like this evening, it is not surprising that Sugar is longing for Pochettino, under whom Tottenham played some swashbuckling football at times.
Here’s what the former Spurs chairman tweeted:
Come back Poch !

Sugar was in no way alone in longing for Pochettino’s return, with a few other Spurs fans taking to social media to admit that they miss the Argentine.
We all want Pochettino back, don't we?

Spurs Web Opinion
While Jose and the coaching staff deserve some responsibility for what seemed to be the lack of any offensive plan, it is harsh to pin the entirety of the blame on them. Even for the last two years of Pochettino’s reign, we were quite a poor side. It is difficult to tell where the creative edge or the penetration is going to come from against low blocks if we continue setting up the way we do. Jose much surely be considering being braver and playing one of Ndombele or Lo Celso in the middle with one other pivot (Winks or Sissoko), even if that comes at the expense of the team’s defensive solidity.
