Report: Club set their asking price for target man linked with Tottenham
Tottenham Hotspur are on the lookout for a new striker ahead of the transfer window closing early next month.
Head coach Jose Mourinho has already admitted that he is keen to bring in an extra front man to help cope with the hectic fixture schedule which the North Londoners face (Evening Standard).
Spurs have been linked with a host of strikers including Southampton’s Danny Ings, Willian Jose of Real Sociedad (El Desmarque) and Wolfsburg’s Wout Weghorst (The Express).
German news outlet Bild claim that the Bundesliga side are not prepared to accept less than €35million (£31.8million) to part company with Weghorst.
The 6′ 6″ striker has a respectable record with Wolfsburg having scored 40 goals in 82 appearances in all competitions since making the move from AZ Alkmaar in 2018 (transfermarkt).
The Express claimed last week that Weghorst is keen on a move to North London and would have no issue in acting as cover for Harry Kane.
