Dilan Markanday has been rewarded for his brilliant displays for Tottenham’s Under-23s over recent weeks by being named the Premier League 2 Player of the Month for October.
Markanday has been in fine for the Under-23s so far this campaign, having scored 10 goals in 10 appearances so far in Premier League two.
The 20-year-old attacking midfielder made his senior debut for Tottenham in the Europa Conference League clash against Vitesse Arnhem last month, becoming the first-ever British Asian to play for the Lilywhites first-team in a competitive game.
Markanday was previously nominated for the Premier League 2 award in April and August of this year, with this being his third nomination in seven months.
It proved to be third time lucky for the silky left-footer, who deservedly took home the award for November after netting four goals in four games last month.

Markanday admitted that he is keen to build on the award and to continue developing as a player.
The Spurs academy starlet told the club’s official website: “I’m really happy and proud to win this award.
“I want to use it as added fuel and motivation to keep developing and working every day to improve.”
Spurs Web Opinion
Given the form Markanday has been in over the past couple of months, I believe that the club should be thinking about loaning him to a League One or League Two club in January. The 20-year-old is unlikely to get much game time at Spurs as Conte will probably field strong teams in the Europa Conference League, FA Cup and League Cup.
