Report: Robert Lewandowski’s agent has contacted Spurs about availability
According to 90 min, Tottenham Hotspur are one of the clubs who have been ‘advised’ about Robert Lewandowski’s availability by the Bayern Munich star’s representatives.
The report reveals that Lewandowski, who has just 12 months left on his contract with Bayern, has indicated to the club that he will not be signing a new contract and wants to leave this summer.
Barcelona are said to be the striker’s preferred destination but it is explained that the Catalan club have not begun negotiations with Bayern due to their tricky financial situation.
Lewandowski’s agent Pini Zahavi has allegedly been speaking to several Premier League clubs regarding a potential move for his client.
The report states that Spurs, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester United have all been advised about Lewandowski’s situation.
However, 90 min add that, as things stand, none of the clubs have made a concrete move for the Poland international.
Zahavi is also said to have held informal talks with Paris Saint-Germain regarding a move for Lewandowski.
Spurs Web Opinion
Lewandowski and Kane can absolutely play together as both players have great football IQs and the England captain can drop into the number ten role to accommodate the Bayern star.
However, I do not think the 33-year-old is likely to want to join Spurs. If Zahavi did offer Lewandowski to Tottenham, I suspect he did so as a potential option for the North London club in the event that they lose Kane.
However, it looks highly likely that Kane is going to stay put at Spurs for at least one more season following City’s capture of Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund.
