According to Mundo Deportivo, Tottenham defender Sergio Reguilon has people in his inner circle that he is close to sealing a move to Sevilla.
The Spaniard is seemingly surplus to requirements under Antonio Conte, who left him out of the pre-season tour of South Korea.
The left-sided defender joined Spurs from Real Madrid in 2020 for a fee that could rise to £32 million (SkySports).
Reguilon spent a year on loan at Sevilla in the 2019/20 season, before joining Spurs. While Barcelona were believed to be looking at the left-back (Mundo Deportivo), the defender himself seemingly sees a return to Sevilla as being the more likely move.
As for the details of such a move, the likelihood of a permanent transfer depends entirely on the finances at the Spanish club. According to the report, the fact that Spurs want to recoup what they initially paid for Reguilon could prove to be problematic.

Unfortunately, Sergio Reguilon doesn’t fit Antonio Conte’s system Antonio Conte and has fallen down the pecking order. With Ivan Perišić and Ryan Sessegnon now ahead of him, all parties would benefit from Reguilon securing a transfer away from Spurs.
Reguilón may prefer the move to Sevilla, but if another club meets the reported valuation to sign him permanently, it would make sense to explore that.
