Alasdair Gold has revealed that people at Tottenham have laughed off suggestions that Son Heung-min could leave the club.
German outlet Sport 1 reported earlier this week that Son, who is contracted to Tottenham until 2025, was considering his future at the club.
The report asserted that the forward is ‘preparing for his next career step’ and is eyeing a move to a bigger club, with Real Madrid alleged to have an eye on the Spurs star’s situation.
However, 90 min subsequently revealed earlier this week that those at Tottenham are unconcerned about the speculation linking Son with a move to the Santiago Bernabeu.
The report explained that even if the South Korean were to ask for a move away, the Spurs hierarchy would not contemplate selling him before the summer of 2024.
Gold has now revealed that those at the club believe that Son is happy at N17 and have no intention of letting the former Bayer Leverkusen man leave.
The journalist said on his YouTube channel: “From everything I’m being told from everyone within the club, they’re just kind of laughing when there is a link to Sonny, because I’m constantly being told that he’s very happy.
“He only signed a new contract last summer and the club have absolutely zero intention of selling Sonny anywhere.”

We know that Daniel Levy will not contemplate any offer for Son as the South Korean is not just one of our most important players on the field but is also extremely valuable to the club in a commercial sense. So, even a stupid offer like £120m or so is not likely to persuade the club to sell the 30-year-old.
