InterLive.it have revealed that Tottenham Hotspur are considering making a sizeable offer for Inter Milan centre-back Alessandro Bastoni in January.
Reports have continued linking Bastoni with a move to Spurs since the summer transfer window, with CalcioMercato being the latest outlet to report on the matter a few days ago.
The publication suggested that Spurs were at the front of the queue to snap up the 23-year-old ahead of Manchester City.
It was explained that Inter had offered the centre-back a new deal worth €4.5m (£3.9m) per year and that the player had asked for time to reflect on the offer.
InterLive now assert that the North London club could try and sign Bastoni as early as January.
The report explains that Antonio Conte is keen on reuniting with the Italy international and signing the Inter star could convince the 52-year-old to commit his future to the Lilywhites.
It is alleged that Spurs could make an offer of €55m (£48.2m) for the Nerazzurri star when the transfer window opens.
Spurs Web Opinion
The problem with the Bastoni pursuit has never been the asking price as was pretty clear, even in the summer, that Spurs are willing to spend big on the 23-year-old. However, the big question is whether the centre-back is prepared to leave Inter.
