Relevo have revealed that Bryan Gil was desperate to leave Tottenham and was frustrated that the North London club were not sanctioning a loan move.
Fabrizio Romano stated yesterday that Sevilla were in talks with Spurs to sign Gil on loan until the end of the season and added that the La Liga club were ‘confident’ of completing the deal before the window closes.
He later added that a ‘here we go’ was expected soon, with Gil joining Sevilla on loan with no option to buy. He also revealed that the Spaniard’s medical with the La Liga side was already booked.

Relevo now claim that Tottenham were initially reluctant to let the 21-year-old leave despite the arrival of Arnaut Danjuma.
The report states that what started out as a ‘dream’ for the youngster when he first made the switch to Spurs in 2020, has now turned into a ‘nightmare’.
It is asserted that Gil was becoming increasingly frustrated with the situation and was desperate to leave Hotspur Way before the window slams shut.
Relevo also claim to have spoken to someone close to the winger, who did not mince their words when talking about the player’s situation.
The person is quoted in the report as saying: “It’s not good in England, it’s not something professional anymore; it’s personal. It has no motivation to go to train, he’s not happy and he doesn’t understand why they won’t let him out.
“It doesn’t matter what options he puts on the table for them to leave, they prefer to have him without playing. He is pressing by all means because he needs to leave. Tottenham doesn’t care if Bryan is in bad spirits. They don’t give him minutes, but they don’t let him out either. He doesn’t know why.”

One can understand Gil’s frustrations as he was considered to be the best young talent in Spain when Spurs signed him and his development has been stalled for the past two years because of Tottenham’s indecisiveness.
I can understand why Conte would want to hang on to him in case of an injury crisis but realistically, the winger is unlikely to start even a single game if he stays, particularly after Danjuma’s arrival.
