Football Insider have claimed that Tottenham academy manager Dean Rastrick has decided to quit the club in order to take up a new role with the Football Association.
Rastrick has been at Tottenham for 13 years since first joining the club from Norwich City back in the summer of 2010.
However, his long association with the Lilywhites is now expected to come to an end as he has allegedly informed the club of his intention to leave.
Football Insider state that the Spurs academy manager has accepted a senior role at the FA and will be linking up with former Tottenham academy director John McDermott, who is the FA technical director.
This development comes just weeks after the exit of Chris Perkins, who left his position as Tottenham’s emerging talent manager to take over a similar role at North London rivals, Arsenal.

These exits are not all that surprising, given that Fabio Paratici has been working on restructuring the academy and recruitment set-up behind the scenes.
However, Rastrick will certainly be a bigger loss than Perkins, given the important role he had at the academy and his shoes will not be particularly easy for the club to fill.
