Journalist Sacha Tavolieri has now claimed that of Gent’s big-name players, Gift Orban is the likeliest to depart the club amidst Tottenham’s interest in the striker.
Orban has not been able to stop scoring since he left Norwegian club Stabaek to join Gent back in January of this year.
The centre-forward found the back of the net 20 times in 22 appearances during the second half of last season and has scored five in four matches so far this campaign.
Multiple outlets (CaughtOffside and The Evening Standard) have revealed over the last couple of days that Tottenham are soon expected to launch a concrete move for the 21-year-old, who is valued at £25m by Gent.
Ongoing discussions about Spurs target Gift Orban
Tavolieri has now taken to social media to state that the Belgian club will not sell both Orban and fellow forward Hugo Cuypers this window, claiming that the Nigerian is more likely to leave among the pair.
The journalist adds that discussions between Tottenham and Gent are currently ongoing and ‘will further accelerate’ over the coming days.

Spurs Web Opinion
I fully expect the Gift Orban deal to be wrapped up in a few days as the deal looks like a straightforward one to do, given the modest transfer fee being reported. That will leave Spurs with a couple of weeks to bring in another top centre-back and a midfielder.
