90 min have claimed that Tottenham Hotspur ‘have been contacted’ over a potential January deal for Stuttgart signing Serhou Guirassy.
Some outlets continue to back Spurs to sign a centre-forward in January, with The Daily Mirror reporting a little over a week ago that Ange Posteocglou is ‘optimistic’ of bringing a number nine through the door next month.
The report named Brentford’s Ivan Toney and Feyenoord’s Santiago Gimenez as the two names at the top of the North London club’s wishlist.
Another striker who has been mooted as a target for the Lilywhites over the last few months is Guirassy, who has been on fire for Stuttgart this season, having scored 18 goals in 15 matches across all competitions so far.
It was claimed by TEAMtalk last month that Postecoglou’s men were battling the likes of Newcastle United and West Ham for the 27-year-old, who has a release clause of €17.5m (£15m) on his contract.
The Guardian’s Ed Aarons subsequently revealed a couple of weeks ago that Manchester United were also eyeing a move for the Guinea international in January.

Spurs have been contacted about Serhou Guirassy
90 min have now said that Tottenham are one of the sides who have been contacted by Guirassy’s representatives over a January transfer.
The report claims that the striker’s entourage are confident of sealing a January move to the Premier League.
However, the publication adds that the interest in Guirassy is now growing, naming Tottenham, Man Utd, Arsenal, Everton, Newcastle, Tottenham, Wolves, Bournemouth, Brentford and Crystal Palace, as sides who are monitoring the player.

It is certainly not surprising to hear that the interest in Guirassy is intensifying, given the striker’s low release clause. While it seems clear that the centre-forward will not be at Stuttgart on February 1, it is anyone’s guess at the moment where he will end up.
