Tottenham can land Morgan Gibbs-White alternative for just £30m
Tottenham Hotspur may be handed a great market opportunity after being snubbed by Morgan Gibbs-White, with a new report claiming that Lucas Paqueta’s asking price has been slashed.
It emerged on Saturday that Gibbs-White had agreed a new deal with Forest, which came as a massive setback to Tottenham, who had worked on the deal for the last two and a half weeks after activating the midfielder’s release clause.
It remains to be seen which alternative the Lilywhites now turn to, with sources now reporting that Spurs may have missed their chance of signing Xavi Simons, who appears to be on his way to Chelsea.
Some Tottenham fans want to see the club sign Lucas Paqueta, and it was also suggested recently by TBR Football that Spurs may consider the West Ham attacking midfielder as an interesting market opportunity.

The Daily Mail have now claimed that the East London club are ready to sell the 27-year-old for a cut-price fee this summer after missing out on an £80m payday for him two years ago.
At the time, the FA’s investigation into spot-fixing allegations against Paqueta prevented the Brazilian from completing a move to Man City.
However, the former Lyon man is in line to be cleared of all charges, and Graham Potter’s men are ready to cash in on him.
Even though Paquetta still has two years left on his contract at the London Stadium, West Ham are ready to accept just £30m for him this summer.

Mohammed Kudus became the first player to make a move from West Ham to Tottenham Hotspur in 14 years since Scott Parker made the move in 2011.
Given that the two clubs put their differences aside to agree on a deal for the Ghanaian, one would assume that the Hammers will be open to dealing with the Lilywhites again.
According to reports, Thomas Frank wants Tottenham to sign players who are proven in the Premier League, and Paquetta would fit the bill and could hit the ground running at N17.
