It has now emerged that Tottenham Hotspur are looking to reinforce several areas of their squad in the upcoming transfer window.
Over the last few weeks, a number of sources have claimed that Spurs’ main focus is on signing a top-class wide-forward in January.
Some journalists have contradicted that information, claiming that a number nine is Tottenham’s top priority in the upcoming transfer window.
However, a fresh report has now suggested that the Lilywhites will not just be content with strengthening their attack in January.
Tottenham want reinforcements across the pitch
Flashscore has now claimed that an attacker is indeed expected to be one of the first arrivals at Tottenham in January, with the club planning to sign at least one forward to add a ‘cutting edge’ to their attack.
However, their signings are not expected to end there, with Thomas Frank’s men also allegedly wanting to strengthen the left side of their defence.
Meanwhile, the outlet says that over the past two months, discussions have been ongoing internally at Spurs about adding a new midfielder to their squad.
The North London club have also tasked a specialist recruitment staff with identifying goalkeepers who can provide stronger competition to Guglielmo Vicario.
Flashcore point out that even though Tottenham have money to spend, they are aware that they cannot solve all these problems in January and are expected to refine their target list over the coming weeks.
Is this the end of the road for Antonin Kinsky at Spurs?
Guglielmo Vicario has been in outstanding form over the last two months, and it is unlikely that the Italian is going to be replaced as the number one.
However, if Tottenham are eyeing goalkeeping options in the market, that suggests that Frank and his staff have not been particularly impressed with Antonin Kinsky.
In fact, it was reported by The Daily Mail last month that Kinsky’s poor form in training has been a cause of concern at Spurs, even going back to last season.
