Stormzy and Maya Jama are dating again – three years on from shock split
TIME is a healer and it’s done wonders for Stormzy and Maya Jama, as they are back together three years after splitting up.
The new Love Island host joined her rapper ex at the GQ Men of the Year 2022 celebration in west London on Wednesday evening and they then left minutes apart at 2am.
They had spent time deep in conversation at the bash, at Pavilion members’ club in Knightsbridge. He was heard telling pals they were back together.
But he didn’t seem too keen on others finding out because when a fan took a photo of them together, he squared up to them and demanded it was deleted.
A source said: “Stormzy and Maya are together again. They’re taking it slow but are very much back in each other’s lives after a long time when they didn’t speak or see each other.”
A second source at the party said: “They spent loads of time together at the afterparty and were chatting in a corner for ages.

‘My biggest regret’
“It seemed as though they went somewhere else together afterwards because she walked out and then he followed her out five minutes later.”
Stormzy and Maya were together for four years but split in 2019 amid claims he had cheated on her, which he denied.
Last Christmas she got engaged to Australian basketball player Ben Simmons following a whirlwind romance, although they split this summer.
But Stormzy has stayed single since his break-up with Maya and has made no secret of the fact he regrets their split.

On his 2019 song Lessons, he described their relationship as the “greatest love I ever knew,” and admitted: “I poured it down the drain.”
He continued: “You gave me the world and then I gave you disrespect.
“Hand on my heart, this is my biggest of regrets. Thought I’d say it here than rather fling it in a text.
“Until you’re ready to forgive, I’m always wishing you the best.”
Now she has forgiven him and things are back on track. He won’t make those same mistakes this time around.

ASA BUTTERFIELD plays awkward Otis Milburn in Sex Education, but in real life he’s anything but clumsy.
The Netflix star was one of the biggest party animals there, spending hours on the dancefloor, with women throwing themselves at him.
He looked in his element while surrounded by women desperate to chat and dance with him.
Seeing as his on-screen character, the son of a sex therapist, gives out tips on how to make things click in the bedroom, I assume a few of them wanted to see if he had put that advice into action.
His co-star Ncuti Gatwa, who plays Eric Effiong and will soon take the lead role in Doctor Who, also partied with him, having recently been filming Sex Education’s fourth series. There will have been some sore heads yesterday.

MIMI POP IS TOPS
MIMI WEBB was celebrating her own Man of the Year, by bringing her dad along as her plus one.
The Ghost Of You singer made sure he got the star treatment too, by introducing him to as many celebrities as possible.
Mimi, posing here with me and Bizarre reporter Howell Davies, ensured he got to chat to Hollywood’s Andrew Garfield, chef Tom Kerridge and boxer Nicola Adams, among others. And in the end he could barely be torn away, with Mimi finally managing to persuade him to leave just after midnight.
As one of the busiest singers in Britain, she will be back on screen tonight performing on Children In Need.

THEY are rappers from either side of the Atlantic who have had a stellar year so it was good to see Aitch and Jack Harlow come face to face at the party.
They were introduced by pals after Jack performed at the bash. And with the recent news Jack is in the running for three Grammy awards, I imagine Aitch had plenty to talk about – most notably, how he can land a nod, too. Perhaps a collaboration is the solution.
- ONE partygoer got more than they bargained for when on a toilet break at the party – X-Men actor James McAvoy walked in on them. The star was spotted opening the door to a gender-neutral loo but then screamed and apologised as the person inside had not locked the door.
TOM IN FUR TROUBLE WITH COAT
I HAD fun hanging out with one of the nicest men in the business, Tom Grennan – but I’m not sure he enjoyed it quite so much thanks to a wardrobe error.
The chart favourite, who has become a fashion icon alongside his anthemic pop, wore an ill-advised faux-fur coat to the event, and joked to me: “I can’t take it off, I’ve basically got nothing underneath! It’s a massive mistake.”
Tom, currently riding high on the success of his new single Lionheart with Joel Corry, was alongside his new fiancé Danniella Carraturo after he proposed earlier this summer.
He told me: “Apart from the stupid jacket decision it’s lovely to be out together – we don’t get to very often so it feels like a real treat.
“She’s my biggest supporter and I’m very lucky – I know this is a weird job and a weird world but she totally gets it and let’s me be me. It’s a massive help.”
And he teased a new project which he insists will make a huge impact – adding: “Lionheart has been great.
“It’s gone really well, but I’ve got something else in the pipeline at the minute which I’m properly chuffed with – it’s going to be massive, I think. I can’t wait to get it out there.”
ROCHELLE HUMES and AJ Odudu let their hair down at the bash as they joined Maya Jama, who channelled her inner Kylie Minogue in a white hooded outfit.
They were among the lucky guests who dressed up for the glamorous celebration, which went on until 3am.
Former SATURDAYS singer Rochelle wore a sheer dress while AJ, fresh from bagging the job of Big Brother host, admitted she had spent hours having her hair done.
Vick Hope also showed up in a bright pink dress, but didn’t bring her DJ fiancé Calvin Harris with her.
Bono Caught live at London Palladium
SO what’s your common perception of U2 frontman Bono?
A strutting rock superstar with a rampant ego who thinks he can change the world and send his band’s record to your iTunes whether you like it or not?
As he’s the first to admit, he’s certainly someone who divides opinion.
But his multimedia one-man show at London’s Palladium this week in support of his lengthy but captivating memoir Surrender showed another side to singer born Paul David Hewson 62 years ago.
Vulnerable, pained, self-effacing and ultimately human were words that spring to mind to describe his performance.
Without bandmates The Edge, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen Jr, Bono peeled back the veneers for a long, dark night of the soul.
The show took the form of him bringing passages from “me book I wrote meself” to life with animated backdrops filled with his handwriting and sketches of people and places. And, of course, there was a fair bit of swagger and plenty of Irish humour.
He was joined by producer Jacknife Lee, a cellist and harpist, for spirited renditions of U2 favourites . . . from early triumphs like I Will Follow and Sunday Bloody Sunday through to Pride (In The Name Of Love) and Where The Streets Have No Name and on to Beautiful Day. Many of his recollections involved pub “conversations” with his late dad Bob which happened after his beloved mum Iris died when he was just 14.
Bono told of his pain at not being rated or even heard by his father, explaining why he became such as a loud and lairy singer. But then Bob gradually showed him a level of acceptance . . . and even pride. His eldest daughter Jordan and a few of his chums were in the audience to watch this emotional rollercoaster.

Bono gave a gracious shout out to Geldof and also spoke with great affection for his wife Ali and the band who started out as four chancers from Mount Temple Comprehensive School 46 years ago.
The other three were not present but they, along with Iris and Bob, were there in spirit.
