99-year-old Depew bakery closing on Friday
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A near century-old bakery in Depew is closing its doors on Friday.
D&L Bakery, which has been doing business in Depew since 1926, will close for good. The store is currently located on Penora Street.
The bakery has been known or its rolls, pies, cookies, pastries, doughnuts and other baked goods. It has been owned by the Geleszinski family for its entire existence.
The bakery is the latest in a line of longtime bakeries to close in recent weeks. Mazurek's Bakery closed its South Buffalo location in June after nearly a century in business. Less than two weeks later, Wolter's Bakery in Georgetown Square closed after nearly seven decades in business.
