Medical group breaks with trans agenda, recommends delaying surgeries

Almost every major medical organization in recent years has promoted the transgender ideology.

Many physicians actively participate in the industry through surgeries and other treatment for which they are paid, so their neutrality might not be convincing.

But now one doctors’ group says those surgeries should wait.

Until at the patient is at least 19 years old.

Fox News cited the decision of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, representing 92% of board-certified plastic surgeons in the country, to be “breaking” from other major medical groups.

The ASPS says chest, genital and facial gender surgeries should wait until a patient in at least 19.

The industry, of course, is set up to pressure minors into those procedures, but has been hit recently with a long list of malpractice lawsuits over those developments. One jury just days ago awarded $2 million to a victim of transgender surgical work as a minor.

The organization said there was “insufficient evidence” to support surgeries on children.

It was the release of the Cass Independent Review of Gender Identity Services for Children and Young People that triggered a backlash to the pro-transgender agendas.

A number of European countries cut back those procedures within their borders even as academics in American continued to push for their industry.

The ASPS statement said, “Available evidence suggests that a substantial proportion of children with prepubertal onset gender dysphoria experience resolution or significant reduction of distress by the time they reach adulthood, absent medical or surgical intervention. Evidence regarding adolescent onset presentation, which has become increasingly common since the mid-2010s, is more limited but similarly does not allow for confident prediction of long-term trajectories.”
