Schumer demands special recognition for LGBT flag after it was found to be unauthorized at national sites
Chuck Schumer, the far-left Democrat senator who has organized the latest partial closure of the government over his social agenda demands, also now is calling for Congress to give the LGBT rainbow flag national recognition.
He wants it to be flown at nationally designated sites, and the administration of President Donald Trump just ordered it removed from the Stonewall National Monument because it wasn’t authorized.
Stonewall is one of the locations LGBT agitators gave special recognition because of the events at that bar that ultimately launched the LGBT activism across the united States.
Activists re-posted the rainbow flag at the Stonewall site after the Trump administration stopped allowing it on a flagpole there.
The problem is that the site run by the National Park Service noted that federal guidance regarding flag policies allow the display only of the U.S. flag, the Department of the Interior flag and the POW-MIA flag at such national sites.
Manhattan Borough chief Brad Hoylman-Signal complained the banishment was “petty.”
“On one level, removing a flag seems extremely, I guess, pedestrian. But the symbolism of doing it here at Stonewall is what is so profoundly disappointing and frightening.”
Barack Obama, a staunch promoter of the LGBT lifestyle choices, created Stonewall back in 2016, and supporters of the scheme were enraged when Trump returned to the White House for his second term and the administration said it would recognized only two genders, male and female, and scrubbed references to transgenders from the Stonewall website.
Now, Schumer, amid looming problems with the federal budget, with election security, with threats coming from around the world, chose the flag as his agenda.
AMNY reported online that Schumer, the Senate minority leader, is calling for legislation that would give special status to the LGBT banner.
“The Trump administration’s removal of the Pride Rainbow Flag from the Stonewall National Monument is a deeply outrageous action that must be reversed,” he demanded.
“It’s an eff-ing disgrace. It’s just awful.”
He said, “I am introducing legislation to designate the Pride Flag as a congressionally authorized flag in America, and that means it can be flown here and everywhere else,” Schumer said. “No one — no one — can take it down.”
New York officials also complained that Trump’s White House was pursuing its ideologies, just as the Obama White House did when the monument was designated.
Schumer also insisted that members of both political parties must support his agenda.
