How to find accessories, made in the U.S.
It’s often easy to talk about trying to buy American when it comes to big ticket items like cars and appliances, for example. But it’s also often frustrating when you are looking for smaller, American-made accessories.
Here is a quick list of smaller items you may have struggled to find made in the USA, just like I have:
I can personally endorse Maples Rugs since I have ordered one myself and the price is every bit worth the quality. I bought a small rectangular rug about a year ago for one of the bathrooms and it only cost $24.98. It’s been washed a few times since, holds up well and still looks great!
Who hasn’t had trouble navigating directions in your car or truck while driving? I bought the Cell Phone Seat ULTIMATE Cup Holder Phone Mount, and hands-free driving is now guaranteed. Plus, I can still use my car’s cup holder for my favorite beverage. Problem solved for $24.99.
I’m not sure I have ever seen a United States flag pin that wasn’t made in China. The irony, right? $10.99 will get you a gold color plated or nickel-plated American flag pin with the inscription “Proudly Made in the USA” on the back. Visit the Pinmart store on Amazon.com to see all options.
Take a look at Classic Magnets to find your city or state in magnet form or choose from a variety of other magnets, all made in the USA! I bought a St. Louis city magnet and it was only $8.85 (free shipping), which isn’t much different than what you might expect to pay for one of those store-bought Chinese-made magnets. You’ll also find military magnets, flag magnets, U.S. National Park magnets, NBA magnets, and a whole lot more!
Christmas is still many months away, but it’s never a bad time to learn about how you can buy American-made candy canes for when Christmas arrives. One visit to the Hammond’s Candies website and you’ll find everything you’ll need to make the holidays that much more special!
One visit to the OH SAY USA website and you’ll be able to locate hard-to-find American-made items like classic dish towels and the basic manual can opener. The colorful dish towels have been made in Tennessee since 1884!
You may have seen Tervis tumblers made in the USA, but only the plastic ones are made here in the states. The stainless steel tumblers are all imported. I finally found the American-made drinking containers I’ve been looking for from
PATH. This company claims to be “the first refillable and recyclable bottled water packaged in a sleek and sturdy aluminum container.”
