Raheem Sterling ‘not interested in Tottenham transfer as part of deal that takes Harry Kane to Man City this summer’
MANCHESTER CITY winger Raheem Sterling will reportedly reject a move to Tottenham as part of a deal to bring Harry Kane to the Etihad.
SunSport revealed on Monday how the Citizens stepped up their interest in the England skipper by offering Spurs £100million for his services.
As part of that bid, City are prepared to offer the North Londoners either Sterling, Gabriel Jesus or Aymeric Laporte.
It has previously been claimed that the Premier League champions are willing to listen to offers for Sterling after he lost his place in the starting XI under Pep Guardiola.
But according to ESPN, the former Liverpool star has no intention in swapping City for Spurs.
They state that if Sterling did decide to leave this summer, he would want to leave on his terms rather be included in any swap offer.
Sterling, who scored England’s winner against Czech Republic on Tuesday night, has also been linked with a switch to Tottenham’s rivals Arsenal.
It is understood that following the European Championship, he will meet with City to discuss his future at the club.
Speaking after his second goal at Euro 2020, the 26-year-old declared that the Three Lions do not fear facing France, Portugal or Germany in the last-16.
He told ITV Sport: “At some point you’re going to have to face the best teams and that’s the whole point of a tournament, to challenge yourself.

“Our objective from the beginning was to win the group.
“People were disappointed in the Scotland game but we didn’t concede and that’s the most important thing.
“We kept the ball better today, there was more attacking option and we got in the gaps really well and played some really good football at times.”
Commenting on the role Bukayo Saka and Jack Grealish played in his header against Czech Republic, he remarked: “They got in the pockets really well.
“They were positive and it’s really great to have these players around you that can create goals.
“Different players are needed for different matches and the two that came in today and Jordan (Henderson) are really important for what we needed to do.”
