THE WEATHER may be unpredictable – but glamorous racegoers have ensured nothing was going to dampen their spirits when it came to selecting their outfits for ladies’ day at Glorious Goodwood.

Female attendees at the important event in the racing calendar stepped out in their most stylish looks, including colourful dresses and towering hats.

As they arrived at the Chichester racecourse earlier today, there were all frocks all shades of the rainbow on display.

Many also opted for floral prints and pretty flower-inspired fascinators – in keeping with the summer season.

However, head-turning hats were the order of the day.

Accessorising with sky scraper heels and stylish clutch bags was also a popular choice.

One of the first famous faces to make an appearance was Samantha Cameron, the former Prime Minister’s wife.
