The Indian team led by Manpreet Singh created history in Tokyo, when it beat Germany in the bronze-medal match to end India's 41-year wait for an Olympic medal. Before Thursday, India had last finished on the Olympic podium in 1980, when the team won its eighth gold medal at the Games.
