EuroHockey Institute Transnational Meeting 6: The Netherlands
4th May 2002, Brussels: Belgium: During the start of the EHL the EuroHockey Institute Project partners met at Hurley Hockey Club.
The mission is to develop an institute that will deliver world-class education to support national growth. Co-Funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union through a grant of 397k Euros.
The project will build on and enhance good practice structures by developing the EHF Institute. There are four strategic pillars to facilitate sustainable, high-quality national growth across member federations in Europe.
The EHF Institute Strategic Pillars:
- Governance
- Coaching
- Officiating
- Athletes
Cameron Findler, EuroHockey Development, and Education Coordinator kicked off the meeting with Marijke Fleuren, President of the EHF. They welcomed all partners and thanked them for their contributions over the past 16 months.
Outcomes:
Slovenia will work with fellow Institute Partners on a national coaching pathway to support more national-level educators.
France and Switzerland will twin with the Belgian and Dutch Federations to act as consultants over the next 9 months assessing the state of play of their own coaching pathways.
All partners engaged in a session around the governance and management of the Institute which is due to go live in August 2023. It will be formally launched at the EHC in Germany with all 42 members NAs invited to attend.
The meeting also allowed the opportunity to launch the EuroHockey Institute Business Club with sustainable actions and our charitable partner the Hockey Dreams Foundation.
