Niclas Fullkrug says he had a ‘perfect debut and start to the year’ at Milan: ‘I already feel at home.’
The German striker made his Milan debut on Friday night in the first game of the year in Serie A.
Fullkrug: ‘Perfect’ Milan debut
The former West Ham forward was introduced as a substitute in the second half in the Rossoneri’s eventual 1-0 win in Sardinia.
“Perfect debut, perfect start to the year,” Fullkrug wrote on Instagram, posting a bunch of pictures from the game in Cagliari.
“Absolutely honoured to have played my first match right away! Already feel at home, even though the first home match is still to come – can’t wait! Grazie for your support today and enjoy your weekend, Rossoneri.”
Milan had confirmed Fullkrug’s move from West Ham just a few hours before the game in Cagliari on Friday.
The German forward has joined the Rossoneri on loan with an option to buy.
The 32-year-old didn’t score or assist in nine appearances across all competitions with West Ham in the first part of the campaign.
Friday’s win over Cagliari allowed the Rossoneri to climb to the top of the Serie A table with a two-point lead over city rivals Inter, who have a game in hand.
