Udinese poach Arizala, Colombian talent targeted by Milan
Juan Arizala had seemed to be on the verge of a move to Milan, but Udinese secured an agreement with Independiente Medellin instead worth €3m.
The left-back was reported to be in advanced negotiations with the Rossoneri and Tuttosport amongst others were confident last week that a deal was close.
However, problems arose because it is reported Milan had intended to immediately loan the 20-year-old to Toulouse for the rest of the season.
That was not possible, because Toulouse had already filled their non-EU player slots, so a different alternative had to be found.
Udinese pounce for Arizala after Milan problems
Arizala became frustrated and wanted to play regularly in Serie A, so Udinese stepped in and promised to buy him outright straight away.
The cost remains the same, circa €3m with a percentage of the sell-on fee going to Independiente Medellin.
Sky Sport Italia claim the player is set to land in Italy on Monday to undergo his medical tests and sign the contract with Udinese.
The Colombian talent contributed three goals and one assist in 55 games for his current club.
